Unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) is the largest downstream application product of industrial grade propylene glycol(PG). There are many categories of unsaturated polyester resin. Among unsaturated polyester resins, propylene glycol(PG) is mainly used in high-end resin fields, such as molding resin, marble resin, handicraft resin, winding resin, button resin etc.
Due to the designability of unsaturated polyester resin formula and glass fiber reinforced composite, it can be used as a lightweight structural material and a functional material involved in various working conditions. With the regulation of the global low-carbon economy and the advancement and introduction of low-carbon technologies and standards, the application of unsaturated resins and their composite materials will be further expanded. Domestic unsaturated polyester resin mainly flows to three major markets, namely:
a. FRP, accounting for 55% of the total resin consumption, the market is mainly concentrated in Jiangsu, Shanghai, Guangdong etc.
b. Artificial stone, handicrafts, buttons and other markets account for about 35% of the total resin consumption. The market is mainly concentrated in south of China.
c. Coatings account for about 10% of the total resin consumption.
As the demand for unsaturated polyester resin continues to grow, the demand for the raw material propylene glycol will also grow.

N-Acetyle glucosamine(NAG) was officially approved as a new food raw material by the National Health Commission on January 24, 2023. N-Acetyle glucosamine(NAG) is an important component of many important polysaccharides in biological cells.
As the first drafting unit, Runde Bio formulated two industry standards, "N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine" QB/T 5854-2023 and "Glucosamine" QB/T 5853-2023, which were issued on May 22 this year and implemented on November 1.
